Angel is in foster in Somerset, Uk 🇬🇧
Update from foster.
Today she went toilet lots in the park so obviously feeling more and more confident.
She’s got her cheeky side creeping out. If I’m stood cooking or stood in general she will come a long a boop me with her nose very firmly to say “oi I’m here “.
We will be putting the feelers out now for a forever foster/forever home. She soo would suit an older couple/person. She would be their best friend and soo loyal. We could see her bringing so much joy to them. She only wants a short walk a day. She’s very happy pottering in the garden.
She would be suited best to an only dog due to her age. She needs the peace and quiet to enjoy her retirement years.
She loves her bed and sleeping on the sofa, and is housetrained.
I’m sure our long time supporters will know this girls story. We first met Angel September 2023 as a stray. We found her on our last day with her friend Cookie. We could see she was an older girl and full of fleas. We couldn’t do much that day as wasn’t sure if she was owned. We left them both big meals and had to catch our flight. But we couldn’t get them off our minds..
We returned in May 2024 and couldn’t believe the girls were still there. Winter had been soo hard and long. But they made it. Angel looked very doddery and not great on her legs. So we knew we had to try and rescue them both. We flew home and made plans to try and rescue both of them. We knew we needed to fundraise to build them a pen of their own. Then it wouldn’t be too overwhelming for them. So we got fundraising and in the meantime had lovely friends feeding them weekly and finding out if they are owned. After a few months we had everything ready to rescue these girls. Sadly though cookie hasn’t been seen since July and she was nowhere to be seen. So we were only managed to rescue Angel.
Angel arrived at the shelter early September and she’s adjusted really well. She’s enjoying having constant food and a roof over her head.
Angel will be coming into foster here in the UK on the 11th of November so she can get out of kennels before winter sets in. But we thought we should promote her as well incase that very very special person is out there for her.
Angel is approx 23kg (medium sized). She’s very friendly, good with other dogs and fine with cats. Angel is the kindest soul you could ever meet. She loves a cuddle and gives you her paw for a paw rub. She deserves a nice quiet home with someone who will spoil her rotten. She could be re-homed with sensible children 12 years and older.
