Beautiful Malakai was rescued at the end of last year from a Kill Shelter. Malakai came into the Kill shelter as a well known friendly street dog (a local had known him as a pup living on the streets). Sadly the time he was in there and what he endured made him a very nervous. We dread to think what they did to him.

Since coming into foster in Romania his confidence is growing gradually, but he is still very nervous when he first meets people.

Malakai is a young boy, small sized (no more that 10-12kg) and is very good with other dogs.

Malakai needs a home experienced with nervous dogs who is willing to take time with him and give him lots of love, preferably with another resident dog to help give him confidence. In the right home, this gorgeous little lad will flourish.

We endeavour to get the best quality images and videos we can, but this isn't always possible. These are the only images and videos we currently have for Malakai.

Adoption Process/Timeline
  1. The first part of the process is potential adopters need to complete the pre-adoption/adoption request form on the page below Malakai they are interested in adopting.
  2. Once this has been completed, the team will assess all applicants and if suitable, we will organise a face-to-face homecheck, which means a volunteer will come and have a chat/check your home and gardens are suitable. We will ask the home checker to take photos of your garden.
  3. Once the home check is completed, if we feel you can offer the perfect home, we will reserve Malakai for you.
  4. The adoption fee is available on request (non-refundable) and covers all vaccines, microchip, neutering (depending on age), all health checks (incl. brucellosis and heartworm), passport and transport from Romania to the adopters home.
  5. The final payment is to be made 2 days before Malakai travels.
  6. Malakai will only be neutered if old enough. Otherwise this will be the responsibility of their adopters and proof of neutering will be required and will need proving to the rescue once it has been done.
  7. We guarantee life long rescue backup (RBU). RBU means you will get support and advice throughout the whole adoption process and our volunteers are always available to speak to. If for any reason the adoption fails, Malakai will be taken back by the rescue and rehomed elsewhere. In absolutely no circumstances should Malakai be transferred by the adopter to friends/family, sold or given away.
